3.5k kayak / 24k off-road cycle / 5k run
Welcome to Scotland's newest adventure triathlon! This is a Triathlon Scotland permit event.
Our event consists of a kayak on Loch Long for 3.5km on twin sit-on top kayaks (kayaks, paddles and buoyancy aids supplied). Competitors must supply and wear their own wetsuit and footwear for this section.
The kayak is followed by a 24km mountain bike section on undulating forest tracks and away from the public road. Competitors must supply their own mountain bike and cycle helmets are mandatory.
The final section of the adventure challenge is a 5km run starting on private roads through woodland and forest before running on the pavement alongside Loch Long with views of Arrochar and Ben Lomond.
In the evening we are holding a post-event Ceilidh in the Loch Long Hotel to celebrate the day. There will be a professional Ceilidh band along with bar facilities. The Ceilidh will start at 7:15pm. Tickets for the Ceilidh are sold separately.
